In the 2010 MLB draft, the Mets chose in the 18th round with the 542nd overall selection RHP A.J. Pinera.
A.J.’s career with in the Mets organization was very brief. He was assigned to the Brooklyn Cyclones (A-) of the New York Penn League and lasted just one season in professional ball.
