It’s still early in the season. There are several teams we know won’t be seeing postseason action this year. (I know, I know… my Mets are one of them). But I haven’t placed them on the “dead list” yet for 2013.
So how are we defining the Dead List?
If you’re at least 10 games out of a playoff spot (both the division and the wildcard), you’re on the list. That’s not to say we can’t have a Zombie revival and a team can come back to make the team after making the list…
As of today, there’s only one team that’s made the list – the hapless Houston Astros – currently 12 out of the division and 13.5 out of the wildcard.
Others are close, but the Astros are the only one that has already seen their season go the way of the dodo thusfar.
