Daniel Murphy arrived in the New York clubhouse early on Tuesday. It was an off day, but he wanted to get in some extra work so he could continue on his fine birthday performance of the day before.
He head a commotion coming from inside.
Oh no! he thought. What can that possibly be?
Daniel quickly grabbed his orange and blue Superhero costume out of his gym bag and within moments, he was racing towards the commotion, the cape with the large number 28 trailing behind.
Daniel couldn’t believe what he saw when he entered the room.
There was a commotion unlike one he had ever seen. The room was filled with the entire team, or at least Daniel thought it was the team. He couldn’t quite tell. They were all dressed in these weird outfits and they were gyrating and shaking to the music that was pumping. Even Jay Horwitz, who was wearing a skintight blue outfit that nearly made the Superhero avert his eyes, was dancing around.
“What in tarnation is going on?” Daniel asked loudly, trying to be heard over the music.
“It’s the Harlem Shake!” a giant pink bunny said. “Join us, Superhero!”
“The what?” Daniel said.
Jay Horwitz came dancing over to him. “The Harlem Shake! It’s fun!”
It did look fun. So the Superhero decided to partake in the shake.
“Thanks for joining us, Superhero!” a giant clam said.
“No need to thank me,” Daniel said. “Just glad to be able to help.”
